Facilities Manager to oversee our local properties including Park Beach Plaza, Park Beach Homebase, Gateway House, Jetty Village and Public Works Building.
ABOUT THE ROLEThe
Facilities Manager oversees the above-mentioned properties, with primary focus towards managing contractors and sub-contractor works, tenancy fitouts, internal cleaning operations and security contractors. Additionally, you will be responsible for the implementation of operational systems and procedures, maintaining regulatory compliance standards, risk mitigation and overall safe and impeccable presentation of the facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIESTenancy Fitout Co-ordination and ensure all fitouts are undertaken to BNG standards.Liaise with the Centre Manager, Marketing Manager and Centre retailers on operation matters.Work with the Marketing team to support the operational and WHS facets of the Marketing ProgramDeliver all communication and reporting requirements, both verbal and written – including a monthly report to owners and attendance at regular management meetings.Ensure all work undertaken (by staff, contractors, retailers and/or retailers contractors) conforms with the specifications as agreed to including Safe Work procedures and the Work Health & Safety Legislation requirements applicable to those tasks.Prepare specifications and preventative maintenance schedules for plant and equipment; periodically re-tender service agreements and contracts after liaising with the CM.Liaise with service contractors and tradesmen that are engaged to maintain the CentresRepresent BNG in minor and major construction projects at Coffs Harbour as requested.Contribute to the annual budgeting and business planning processes; manage expenditure to meet agreed budget.Oversee that the Centres are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, to industry WHS best practice, close coordination with cleaning C1, and ensure that all equipment is in good order and repair.Be aware of, recommend and implement where agreed, industry and technological advances which will assist in reducing running costs of the various plant and equipment, without detriment to the centre's occupants and customers.Be security conscious at all times whilst working in the centre, car parks and surrounds with a view to reducing the incidents of unacceptable behaviour by persons in the centre i.e. vandalism, loitering, car theft, etc.Be alert for any action, incident or equipment failure that may or may not cause liability to the properties, the owners and managers.Participate as a key member of the centre's emergency control team and as a member of the WHS Committee.Available to answer emergency calls 24/7 and manage the call.
