Facility Coordinator/Caretaker (Ft)- Aveley Secondary College

A new opportunity has opened for a Caretaker/ Facility Coordinator to join our teams at Aveley Secondary College in Ellenbrook on a permanent full-time basis. The role is required to provide high standard of caretaker services throughout the school facilities Monday to Friday

The Role

• Able to undertake general repairs and maintenance as well as planned preventative maintenance throughout the school and surrounding grounds
• Overseeing all activities across the school grounds and buildings, ensuring Occupational Health and Safety standards are met
• General Pool maintenance (external training provided for the right candidate)
• Identify and report services faults, book trades and supervise contractors
• Cleaning of external areas including pathways, bin area and common areas
• Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
• Adhere to Downer Zero Harm Standards and practices
• Must be available Monday to Friday between 6am-6pm for a rotating roster

About You

• Experience in trade services would be advantageous
• General handyman skills are required
• A good communicator who can follow instructions and is willing to learn
• Safety focused with a high level of attention to detail
• Supervise a fast yet efficient service and is responsive to the demands and needs of our customers
• Have resilience, a 'can-do' attitude and be adaptable
• Good level of fitness and physical ability
• Must have full work rights in Australia

**Please note, as a prerequisite for this role candidates will be required to complete a Working with Children Check, pre-employment medical check, Department of Education Clearance and reference checks.
