About us

By Amica is a fast-growing online women’s fashion boutique. Started in 2016 by fashion designer Dee Tran, the online fashion store and community is now reaching its sixth year and has a close knit team of over 12 staff.

We are looking for a driven, hands-on Fashion Production & Design Assistant, who would work closely with the designer & founder.  As a key member of the product team, you will assist in all production and design tasks. 

By Amica is growing every day, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing our seasonal range
• Create garment sketch designs with measurements & construction details for sampling
• Assist in fit sessions and recoring fitting notes and amendments
• Communicate with suppliers and factories on deliveries
• General administrative work to assist the designer
• Mood board planning for new seasons
• Liaising with local & international suppliers for product development
• Research local and international market design trends 
• Quality checks on stock and samples
• Assist in preparing samples for photoshoots and content shoots
• Assist in product sendout for influencers
• Weekly reporting and team meeting attendance

To be successful in this role: 

• Degree in Fashion Design preferable 
• Minimum 1-2 years buying/ design experience 
• Must have garment construction knowledge
• Good time management
• Ability to multitask and manage your own work
