East Coast Apprenticeships is a proud traditional Group Training Organisation that employs Apprentices and Trainees in all industry areas. We have been in operation for over 35 years and our core business is Group Training with a focus on traditional trade apprentices.

Being one of Queensland's foremost Group Training Organisations, East Coast Apprenticeships is seeking a highly motivated Field Officer who is willing to help us guide, assist and mentor apprentices and trainees throughout their apprenticeship/traineeship.

Being a Field Officer with East Coast Apprenticeships:

As an ECA Field Officer, your role is to promote Group Training Services throughout the community and support our Apprentices and Trainees from commencement through to completion.

• This Full-Time position will be based out of our Brisbane South regional (Upper Mount Gravatt) office

Duties include:

• Pastoral care for portfolio including monitoring and supporting apprentices/trainees throughout the duration of their apprenticeship/traineeship
• Coordinate induction and relevant documentation for new apprentices and trainees with Field Support Officer
• Conduct and document regular field visits as per contact schedule
• Complete WH&S Incident Reports within required timeframes
• Conduct counselling and mentoring for apprentices and trainees if relevant
• Liaise with other regional Field Officers to discuss challenges and methods to improve retention rates
• Provide specialist advice to the Regional Manager and contribute to the development and review of processes and policies
• Promoting our GTO Services within the community and building relationships 

About you

• You will be committed to the apprenticeship system and have a willingness to become part of a successful team
• You will be a confident and adaptive communicator, with excellent time management and organisational skills
• Trade experience is highly desirable
• You will have a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or be willing to apply for one
• A current Australian drivers license
