Pepperl+Fuchs Australia requires a Field Sales Engineer to join our professional team of sales. The position reports to a Regional Sales Manager based in Australia and is responsible for supporting an existing customer network with a focus on new business development. Your primary function is achieving sales targets for a nominated region of Victoria & Tasmania. You will create and build upon strong relationships with the customer base, building effective and sustainable relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), large end users and developing good business relationships with system integrators, with the primary objective of growing these customer groups.
Pepperl+Fuchs has an ambitious vision for New South Wales and will require a top-flight applicant, who will implement the company’s vision and assist in positioning it as an innovative solution provider to customers who see the value and importance of Industry 4.0, IIoT and Advanced Manufacturing techniques and concepts.
The person best suited is currently in a similar position with a background in Industrial Automation sales and has electrical or electronic qualifications, but more importantly has a passion for sales and understands the importance of digital transformation and Industry 4.0 applications assisting the customer solve their problems and achieve their requirements.
The successful applicant is comfortable with conventional applications through to more complex digital solutions. Understanding the different industrial communication protocols is crucial in being able to offer the company’s many components and solutions across such interfaces as IO-Link, CAN, OPC UA, Profibus and Ethernet/IP etc. Experience with our product portfolios would be an advantage but more importantly, an understanding of smart sensor solutions will be equally highly regarded. Most importantly, you are an Industrial Sales Engineer who is highly motivated, can work autonomously and has a record of achieving results.
