About the role
Person responsible for client liaison and complex Hydraulic and Mechanical related; repairs, maintenance, manufacture, installation, troubleshooting and testing. These tasks may also require the technician to perform incidental welding and machining duties. A minimum of 5+ years of proven experience is required.
Duties
- Client Liaison and Development
- Development of work scopes
- Development of bill of materials
- Preparation of quotations
- Supervision of personnel onsite
- Components rebuild to manufacturers specifications
- Complex system and component fault diagnosis
- Inspection and maintenance of workshop plant and equipment
- General knowledge of fixed plant equipment mechanical repairs
- Interpreting drawings such as; Hydraulic Schematics, P&ID, General arrangement
- Perform complex fluid power calculations
- Task reporting and documentation
- Other General Ad-Hoc Duties as required
Skills & attributes
- Well presented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Trade Qualified in related area
- Proven work experience as a technician greater than 5 years
- An eagerness to work on a diverse range of duties
- Excellent time management skills / able to work to deadlines
- Be able to prioritise and multi-task
- Self-motivated and able to work both as part of a team and unsupervised
- Team player with a positive outlook
- Experience with Office 365 Apps and MYOB Preferred
This position will offer an excellent salary. Technicians have a working condition that is normal to a manufacturing environment which can involve; heavy lifting, hazardous fluids, heat exposure and long hours. Technicians must be physically fit and aware of procedures and PPE to accommodate the demands for the position. When required to perform outside HWC Hydraulics and Equipment premises, appropriate safety training and safety equipment will be provided by HWC Hydraulics and Equipment and/or Client as required.
