Field Service Representative - Satcom

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with technical knowledge and SATCOM experience to join our Defence Program Team as a Field Service Representative.

About you:

• Technical training equivalent to Graduate Certificate level in Electronics & Communications
• 3-5 years of experience in the SATCOM industry or similar
• Previous customer service experience such as Field Technical Support
• Proficient in the use of hand tools
• High level of customer service skills
• Ability to deliver training 
• High attention to detail
• MS Office Suite experience
• Possession of, or the ability to qualify for, an Australian Defence security clearance (baseline minimum, NV1 preferred)
• Holding a Construction Card
• Work Safely at Heights & Confined Spaces tickets would be an advantage

What you'll be doing:

1. Conduct efficiently install, “Set-to-Work”, commissioning and testing activities for SATCOM terminals  
2. Provide level 1 & 2 technical support to customers (troubleshooting and resolving reported faults, often outside of business hours)
3. Deliver EM Solutions customer training packages 
4. Conduct system level testing and satellite certification on EMS Defence SATCOM terminals and products
5. Contribute to the design requirements and help implement ongoing innovations on terminal design and manufacture
6. Follow the EMS Quality Assurance system and suggest product and process improvements to enhance terminal performance, increase reliability or lower manufacturing costs
