Are you ready to be a part of a unique national infrastructure project that will shape the energy future of our nation? We are seeking talented and dedicated Project Surveyors to make a significant contribution to one of the nation’s largest energy infrastructure projects in an exciting and challenging, yet rewarding role.

About us:

You’ll be part of a small, collaborative and forward-thinking site team. As a key player in this major national project you will work with other surveyors and geospatial specialists where your expertise in surveying will directly impact the success of this monumental initiative. You will have access to and the support of geospatial and survey experts and peers from the broader, national team who are based in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane

The position:
FIFO/DIDO Onsite Project Surveyor (multiple roles available for both experienced and junior candidates)

Varying roles, including surface and underground audit surveying responsibilities.

Potential for regular RPAS flights and processing of RPAS data.

Location: Kosciuszko National Park, Nationwide

Roster: *Currently this role operates on 8 days on, 6 days off roster. There may be a need to move to a 14/7 day roster in the future*

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct precise land and topographic surveys to inform the project's design and construction phases, using RPAS and/or conventional survey equipment
  • Utilise cutting-edge surveying equipment and technologies to ensure accuracy and efficiency in data collection.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, providing crucial surveying insights to enhance project outcomes.
  • Analyse and process survey data, generate comprehensive reports, and contribute to informed decision-making processes.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and budget constraints through efficient surveying practices.

You will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in conducting land and topographic surveys, preferably within large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in utilising advanced surveying equipment and software.
  • Knowledge of Data Management procedures, including 12d Field / Model packages, is highly regarded
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across diverse project teams.
  • A passion for spatial sciences, innovation, and technology
  • Strong attention to detail with a willingness to accept feedback
  • Repl (remote pilots license) and experience operating RPAS desired, but not essential.
