Support a major civil infrastructure project - The M80 Ring Road

The Project
The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes 2km of new freeway upgrade, 3km of new freeway, separation of local roads from the freeway, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
Key accountabilities for the position
Construction set outs for different scopes in the filed not limited to roads, drainage, bridges, utilities or a combination of these depending on competencies
Coordinate with various field-based construction teams and subcontractors
Correctly interprets specifications and plans forming digital models for set-out.
Follow survey procedures and process to meet alliance objectives
Calibrates and maintains survey equipment to the required standards.
Project Monitoring and progress reporting
Computation of field data and ensuring collaboration with survey data management team
Active participation in all Alliance Safety initiatives.
Opportunities to fly drones and take part in Drone flying courses
Collaboration with broader GIS & Digital Engineering team on the project
Support the development and implementation of positive initiatives to enhance the working experience for the Alliance
Required Skills and Competencies
Diploma equivalent in surveying and/or bachelor’s degree in surveying with considerable experience supporting civil infrastructure projects
Demonstrated experience in 12D (Model, Field and Synergy) experience desirable
Intermediate in MS Suite (Excel being a high focus)
Able to work in a high performing and professional team with a genuine desire to be part of this amazing and challenging project
