About the business
Jaydo Construction is a privately owned civil construction company specialising in water, sewerage & drainage infrastructure projects.
Our capabilities extend from the design & construct of large scale capital works projects through to smaller scale minor works and all types of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in between.
Due to a strong pipeline of works in hand we are looking to expand our delivery team.
About the role
With offices in Tullamarine and Carrum Downs (Head Office).
The person we are looking for will be providing core support to the estimating, project management teams as well as the Pipeline Construction crews.
The key focus of this role is to maintain and monitor project schedules, timely procurement and direct activities to ensure projects run smoothly, on time and to Jaydo’s ethos.
Key elements to the role include but not limited to are -
- Coordination of various civil construction activities including scheduling material from suppliers delivered to site.
- Liaising with the client and senior management teams as required to ensure objectives are being met.
- Sourcing and vetting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers as required.
- Reporting on progress.
- Dealing with challenges in a constructive manner with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Ensuring that the administrative and financial tasks are met, coinciding with deadlines.
Skills and experience
We are looking for someone who is passionate to join the Victorian Water industry. You will be motivated and committed to the team here at JAYDO. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as part of a dynamic, rapidly growing company. Your particular skills and experience will include:
- Works well in a team, good time management including an ability to consistently meet deadlines and understands a sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and proven stakeholder engagement ability.
- Strong coordination, highly organised with attention to detail.
- Ability to attend site and project related meetings.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- General financial acumen.
- Proficient across the full suite of MS Office programs.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Building and Construction, Construction Management or similar.
