FTA Food Solutions is a major supply-chain solutions-based importer and distributor of food products for the Australian, New Zealand and export markets.
The Finance Analyst will report to our Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and support the Finance Team of HSK Ward preparing monthly reporting decks for Management and Board Meetings; and ad-hoc analysis to senior stakeholders, provide key analysis to aid decision making, prepare commentary and deliver on strategic forecasts.
It will be important to offer a fresh perspective, utilize the technology on-hand to drive real insights and contribute to the strategic goals of the team, as well as the HSK Ward Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and costing services in accordance with the company accounting timetable and reporting requirements
- Provide commercial support to divisional teams to ensure accuracy of product costs for company produced SKU’s
- Support and ensure commercial rigor around new projects/initiatives/new product development
- Apply standard performance KPI’s that can be articulated at an operational level to align performance measures with business outcomes
- Review weekly and monthly performance against key measures
- Support the co-ordination and delivery of annual budget and quarterly forecast
- Support the co-ordination and delivery of monthly Management and Board reporting for the Group, including the Group’s performance reports, cashflow, working capital and other key KPIs
- Develop and maintain financial models (Modano) to support annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Jointly manage month-end close with CFO to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Support the co-ordination and delivery of monthly group rebate reporting
- Jointly manage group’s BI reporting tool (Qlik) and continuous improvement through development of key reports
- Maintain the data dictionary/glossary for finance and non-financials KPIs and business definitions
- Identify continuous improvement initiatives to improve reporting processes, including developing and improving existing models and tools to assist in variance analysis
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks and special projects as directed by the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
About you
- CA/CPA preferred or working towards
- 3 years of relevant working experience in an Analyst / Senior Analyst role
- Commercial acumen to understand business drivers and opportunities
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Resilient and able to work in high pressured environment when required
- Strong Excel modelling and written skills
- Experience in trading and manufacturing industry is highly regarded but not essential
