The Purpose:
As a member of our Finance Financial Planning & Analysis team, you will provide support to the Investments finance business partner in developing, modelling, assessing, reporting, accounting, and forecasting on AP+ investment portfolio for key operational lines of business. In addition, this role will work with the Group Reporting Manager to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger.
This is what you’d be required to do:
- Assist with the finance teams contribution to the investment development project life cycle including investment prioritisation.
- Support in the modelling of prospective investment proposals including financial assessment of these proposals and business cases.
- Ensuring accurate financial data is captured in the general ledger regarding project spend and potential benefits.
- Work with the Project Management office in preparing reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial business reviews at an individual project and at a portfolio level.
- Working with the financial control team to ensure the appropriate accounting treatment for projects within the portfolio, including ongoing project monitoring and re-forecasting.
- Assist in maintaining strong partnerships with project related teams across AP+ and the operational lines of business to provide support in the establishment and ongoing monitoring of investments.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with the broader finance team, including the FP&A business partners.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar finance role delivering reporting, analysis, insights and financial support across diverse business environments and teams.
- Good partnering and stakeholder management skills.
- Good communication linking business and finance.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Working knowledge of Australian financial markets.
- Payments industry knowledge an advantage.
- Basic understanding of risk management frameworks as they relate to finance matters.
- Experience in positively contributing to team culture.
- Ability to administer and drive processes.
- Inquisitive mindset with the intention of continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal and presents information that is clear and easy to understand.
- Takes accountability for completing work effectively and on time and uses initiative to resolve issues.
