ABOUT THE JOB
Under the supervision of the CEO, the employee will be responsible for the management of all finances and Accounts at Enable Fitness Centre. Working as a key part of the management and administration team, and as part of a larger multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals, the employee will be encouraged to apply their experience and knowledge in bookkeeping and Accounts to contribute to review and improve processes around financial management, planning and reporting, to support the growth of the business.
This is a permanent position, beginning with a part time commitment of 18 hours per week, with potential opportunities to increase hours if desired as the business grows. Rostering of days/hours is flexible and will be determined in conjunction with the successful applicant. The position is based at our Holden Hill clinic, with potential to work some hours from home.
Key roles and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Create and send invoices for all appointments, including submissions through online portals including PRODA (NDIS, Medicare, DVA)
- Follow up overdue invoices
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Processing of accounts payable
- Process payroll, including superannuation and PAYG statements
- Set up new employees for payroll
- Provide financial reports to management on a regular basis
- Processing stock orders (minimal)
- Prepare and lodge BAS
- Ensure Enable Fitness Centre is compliant and acting in accordance with all relevant legislation and regulations in relation to finances
ABOUT YOU
You are passionate about numbers and money and
- Have experience in the use of Xero software and the ability to use the software for effective and efficient financial management and reporting
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of financial requirements for medium sized private business
- Demonstrate a competent level of computer skills
- Have experience in bookkeeping/working in small to medium private business is desirable but not essential, with allied health industry experience or knowledge highly regarded.
You must hold the following qualifications and screenings:
- A minimum Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping is required, or other relevant experience
- In accordance with the SA Department of Human Services legislation (these screenings can be applied for following acceptance of the position):

- disability services employment check/NDIS worker check
