Responsibilities & Duties- Perform accounting duties including accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, raising customer tax invoices, maintaining registers, undertaking reconciliations and providing supporting documentation for internal and external audit.
- Manage domestic and international travel and provide advice to internal and external clients, including the calculation and review of relevant travel allowances.
- Manage the administration and monitoring of Commission Corporate Credit Cards.
- Take responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the Commission's electronic forms for the Finance and Services team.
- Assist with the preparation of end of month requirements, including journals and reconciliations.
- Perform a lead role for the Commission's facilities management service and proactively identify and correct issues arising from internal requests through liaison with stakeholders (e.g suppliers or contractors, staff and building management).
- Provide back-up for reception, mail processing and switchboard services.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and provide input to Senate Estimates and questions on notice as required.
- Assist with management and maintenance of office facilities and equipment and other operational activities.

- Sound judgement and decision-making skills including the ability to work effectively and reliably in a self-managing team environment.
- Sound knowledge of Commonwealth legislation and procedures relating to travel, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing and procurement.
- Demonstrated organisational and analytical skills including the ability to supervise and/or coordinate activities, resources and people in order to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in accurate and timely data processing of financial information.
