Role Overview: As the Finance and Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining all finance operations of the organisation including payroll administration. By providing relevant, accurate, and timely financial information, this role will support the Leadership Team to make informed and strategic decisions. As the Finance and Payroll Officer, you will implement best practice bookkeeping, finance systems, reporting processes and procedures with a commitment to upholding organisational policies, and industrial and legislative obligations.
What You'll Do: As the Finance and Payroll Officer, you will undertake a variety of duties including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management and reconciliation, process payroll, complete financial reporting, monitor budgets and cashflow, and ensure the meeting of taxation and superannuation obligations.

To excel in this role, you will have:
- Qualifications in Finance and Payroll administration and / or bookkeeping qualifications.
- Recent experience in a similar role with a commercial and / or a NFP
- Intermediate to advanced competencies with Microsoft Office 365, Excel, and Xero
- Experience with Dynamics 365 and / or Employment Hero considered desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or the ability to acquire.
- Current National Police Certificate or the ability to acquire.
- Collaborative spirit, able to work with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
- Deep empathy, sensitivity, and a commitment to social justice and supporting trauma survivors.
