The Role
The Finance & Treasury Officer will be responsible for all the treasury functions of the Asia Pacific (APAC) Region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead on the preparation of APAC’s consolidated cash flow forecast with coordination from Project Accounting Team, other APAC regions (Indonesia/PNG/Australia) on cash needs.
- Coordinate and maintain the sampled documentation collection to support Project Accountants with providing all required documentation necessary to support monthly Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) invoices following a new process established by DFAT.
- Coordinate the collection and upload of Accounts Receivable (AR) invoices to National Australia Bank (NAB) to support the Invoice Finance banking facility.
- Prepare the required documentation for meeting banking compliance and covenant requirements, including coordinating the NAB Field Exam Audit.
- Work closely with project accountants and project teams to scrutinise project forecasts, including analysis of trends and flagging risks in this area.
- Negotiate and purchase foreign currencies with NAB, ANZ Bank, Western Union.
- Run other treasury reports such as Project Cash Flow Analysis, Cash Flow Actual vs Forecast Analysis, etc.
- Establish and maintain excellent and harmonious working relationships with staff at all levels.
- Undertake other duties as outlined in the position description.
- Suitably Finance qualified
- Experience in cash/treasury management, including foreign exchange transactions
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, coordination skills, organisational and time management skills
- Keen to learn existing systems and processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Uphold confidentiality, discretion and integrity at all times.
