The position of Drilling & Completions (D&C) Finance Business Partner is responsible for the financial aspects of D&C activity throughout the Woodside E&P lifecycle. The incumbent should provide insights that drive efficient cost management and resource allocation while also striving to develop sustainable Finance processes that meet D&C management needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with SOX controls.
- Cost management for D&C campaign.
- Accruing monthly well costs in accounting system in line with drilling reporting and review results against plan.
- Contract reviews for D&C campaigns (rig/vessels).
- Half and Year End D&C lease and commitment reporting.
- Embedded derivative reviews for D&C contracts.
- Cost tracking against AFE and well cost estimates to prepare accurate monthly accruals.
- Prepare quarterly forecasts with cost controller and annual budget for D&C activities.
- Completion of well reconciliations (e.g. mud, cement, casing, completion materials, fuel) – currently being transitioned to cost control team.
- Monitor, allocation and close out of campaign accounts.
- Maintain appropriate reporting & analysis to enable decision-makers to discharge their responsibilities.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement to improve the delivery of financial services and processes to meet business requirements and shift emphasis from historic review to performance management.
- Completed a recognised Accounting qualification.
- Member or Associate of a recognised accounting body.
- At least five years working experience in an accounting environment.
- Experience in oil and gas industry and/or D&C environment is an advantage.
