On behalf of our client – Woodside Energy, a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Finance Business Partner (Drilling & Completions). You will be responsible for the financial aspects of D&C activity throughout the E&P lifecycle. You will provide insights that drive efficient cost management and resource allocation while also striving to develop sustainable Finance processes that meet the D&C management needs. This will be an 8 month contract located at their ‘state of the art’ Perth CBD premises.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensure full compliance with SOX controls
- Cost management for D&C campaign
- Accruing monthly well costs in accounting system in line with drilling reporting and then reviewing results against plan
- Contract reviews for D&C campaigns (rig/vessels)
- Half and Year End D&C lease and commitment reporting
- Embedded derivative reviews for D&C contracts
- Cost tracking against AFE and well cost estimates to prepare accurate monthly accruals
- Prepare quarterly forecasts with cost controller and annual budget for D&C activities
- Completion of well reconciliations (eg mud, cement, casing, completion materials, fuel) – currently being transitioned to Cost Control Team
- Monitor, allocation and close out of campaign accounts
- Maintain appropriate reporting & analysis to enable decision-makers to discharge their responsibilities
- Build relationships with key stakeholders
- Continuous improvement to improve the delivery of financial services and processes to meet business requirements and shift emphasis from historic review to performance management
- Relevant tertiary Accounting qualification or similar
- Member or Associate of a recognised Accounting body
- Previous experience working in an accounting environment
- Exposure to the Oil & Gas industry sector OR D&C area of expertise will be well received
- Operating knowledge of SAP
- Anaplan
- IDS Cost Tracking system
- Group Finance Policies & Procedures
- D&C Policies & Procedures (Industry Standard Practice)
