About the role
The Finance Business Partner reports to the Senior Manager, Business Performance in the financial management, planning, preparation, review, analysis and reporting of business performance to facilitate the achievement of PNL Budgets/Forecasts, Strategic Plans and Divisional targets and KPI's.
There are 3 core areas of responsibility.
- Reporting and Business Performance
- Shared Services Accounting
- Budgeting/Forecasting/Business Partnering
This is a Permanent Full-Time position based in the Perth corporate office, with eligibility for hybrid working arrangements.
What will you bring?
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (CPA, CA, CIMA)
- Tertiary qualification in a Business/Commerce discipline.
- Experience in analysis and support to facilitate driving Business Performance.
- Experience of Accounts functions required to perform Financial Control and Management (AP, AR, Banking, Reconciliations, Month end processing, Management Accounts, Reporting, Budgeting, Analysis of Business Performance, Business Partnering)
- Proven delivery of Management Accounts to desired quality and deadlines.
- Management and delivery of Budgets/Forecasts to enable business plans (including but limited to P&L, Balance Sheet, KPIs, Scorecards)
- Experience in managing, manipulating, and presenting large amounts of data, in different formats (excel, word, PowerPoint) to meet differing stakeholder's/audience needs.
- Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner, or similar role within the Financial Services industry will be highly regarded.
- Change management skills with the ability to adapt & implement changes to Finance and from Divisions.
- Strong risk management practices, from identification, resolution to ongoing control framework.
- Proven track record of performance and delivery of business targets.
- Strong IT skills and data/systems intelligence with experience in accounting software packages (TechOne, TM1, Oracle)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with an ability to set, meet and drive others to deliver to stringent deadlines, often under pressure.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of commercial acumen.
- Strong communication (written and verbal), negotiating and influencing skills with experience in writing for Senior Management, Executives and Board.
- Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of the team.
