Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the financial analysis and the preparation of financial information for key areas of the business. You will also partner with key stakeholders to ensure all internal and external reporting requirements are delivered in accordance with applicable policies & standards.
The key responsibilities will include:
• Collaborate with the relevant departments to unlock strategic profitability opportunities
• Identify and execute profit and process improvement opportunities
• Conduct financial analysis to identify and facilitate business improvement initiatives
• Establishing relationships outside of finance to deliver analysis and support
• Preparation of ad-hoc reporting models and dashboards to support various departmental KPIs, budgeting and forecasting targets
• Prepare, present and actively contribute to monthly reporting reviews with key stakeholders
• Partnering with relevant stakeholders at all levels to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
• Provide Business Partnering support to relevant departments to facilitate accurate forecasts and budgets
• Accurate & timely preparation of month-end / year-end closes including journals and reconciliations (including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, etc.)
• Management of Fixed Asset Register and capital expenditure budget
• Accurate & timely preparation of external reporting requirements to governing bodies
• Contribute to the preparation of the FBT return
• Participation in system upgrades as and when required
About you
The successful applicant will be a passionate self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset. A creative thinker who enjoys streamlining processes, building analytical reports and, most importantly, will be a keen problem solver who enjoys a challenge. With a minimum of 4 years’ experience in either a Business Partner or Accountant role you will have:
• Strong financial accounting background with a clear understanding of accounting and budgeting principles
• Strong stakeholder management with the ability to connect and influence
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team member to identify and drive initiatives
• Strong technical skills with the ability to build financial models and drive decision making
• Intermediate/ Advanced systems and Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand the big picture.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Ability to handle confidential information
• CA/CPA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
Other skills, experience and attributes which are highly desirable, but not essential include:
• Candidates with a Business Partnering background in the sporting and/or gaming industries will be advantageous
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Finance & Operations
• Workday Adaptive
• Previous experience in new system implementation/system integrations or change management
