SRC Aus Pty. Ltd. combines SRC Inc's 35+ years of experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) with an Australian team of EW experts to develop next-generation solutions for the Australian market. The company provides innovative products and seasoned analysts to solve Australia's toughest EW challenges – from mission planning support and threat simulator receivers that assist with airborne training and operations — to ground-based counter radio-controlled improvised explosive device EW systems.

About the role
The role is to provide Finance support to SRC Aus, a for-profit Defence company and subsidiary of a US-based not-for-profit. Reporting to the General Manager – Finance, you will support budgeting, invoicing, rates development, financial modelling, and risk reporting for the Australian business. In addition, you will work and coordinate with a US parent company to support their reporting requirements. SRC Aus has offices in Brisbane, Canberra and Adelaide and flexible and hybrid arrangements are available.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities as part of this role are:
- Support development and oversight of company and program budgets
- Support development of company and program cost and financial data
- Support invoicing, payments and financial forecasting
- Support development and management of rates and prices
- Timely completion of all statutory and parent-company reporting requirements
- Identify, advise and manage financial risks at the company and program level
- Liaise and work with key finance stakeholders from the US not-for-profit parent
- Serve as point of contact to our external accountants, taxation specialist, auditors and external finance engagement, where required
- Prepare financial data and present financial analysis and interpretation for Australian and US executives
- Support ongoing finance process improvements and efficiencies and assist in identifying cost reduction opportunities
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, or relevant experience
- Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager, Analyst or similar role
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Able to advise on appropriate financial processes and controls
- The ability to identify and manage financial risks
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Working within a geographically dispersed team and a hybrid work environment
- Professional qualification such as CA/CPA or working towards is a plus but not necessary
Other Skills/Abilities
- Ability to hold a security clearance; if you do not currently possess a clearance, we will sponsor you for upgrade
- Ability to access ITAR and Export Controlled information is required
- Ability for limited domestic and international travel
