About the role:
As Finance Manager you will be part of the senior management team and oversee the finance team. As a key member in the senior management team you will be relied upon to contribute to discussions from a financial perspective and develop strategies to improve the financial resources of the LCA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the organisation's goals.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage cash flow and investment activities.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the senior management team and the board for decision-making purposes.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and professional development.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial consultants.
- Support the development and implementation of financial systems and software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (Masters degree, CPA preferred).
- Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail and respect of the organisation’s values.
