This opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the primary focus of this role will be to partner with the consumer commercial operations division to support them to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes for our business with respect to customer acquisition, retail channel management, commissions and logistics.
You will be responsible for weekly and monthly reporting, rolling monthly forecasts and building complex budgeting models.
The role requires strong analytical, partnering and commercial management skills.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of results to Finance and the consumer commercial operations division through effective, timely reporting and communication
- Working closely with Sales stakeholders to understand their perspectives, objectives, and needs; adding value to the engagement through pro-active proposals and recommendations
- Drive proactive improvements in managing our cost base and cash flow across sales channels
- Develop Offer ROI reporting and drive governance process on offer claims. Work with the pricing team to approve tactical and strategic offers across our various channels.
- Create and drive report automation and performance dashboards to achieve reporting efficiencies
- Help create dynamic budget and forecasting models based on emerging customer and business behaviours
- Partner with Business Intelligence to deliver new reports and extract large data sets for mining
- Undertake analysis and produce and communicate data-driven insights on specific matters of relevance to the Sales team
- Prepare and support the development of commercial business cases
- Effective stakeholder influence and management
- Adhere to Vodafone's policies and procedures as introduced and varied from time to time
- 3+ years financial business partner experience
- CA/CPA qualifications an advantage
- Commercial/financial skills in developing ROI calculations
- Analytical skills for detailed insight analysis
- Strong relationship skills to run cross-functional programs
- Customer focus with commercial sense
- Excellent communication skills
- High level numeracy, with advanced Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills
- Preferred planning and systems knowledge & skills (Hyperion/Essbase, Oracle Financials, SQL, Business Objects)
- Proactive approach to issue resolution
- Ability to work independently but can fit into a team environment
