Finance Officer
We are partnering with one of Australia’s prominent law firms, known for their efficiency in providing effective and trusted solutions. Our client based in the CBD, is seeking an entry-level Finance Officer to join their dynamic Finance team.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Oversee and manage trust accounts in compliance with legal regulations.
- Ensure accurate handling of client trust funds and disbursements.
- Understand legal bills, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client agreements.
- Prepare financial statements and reports specific to legal matters.
- Assist in developing and monitoring the annual budget, focusing on legal expenses.
- Ensure compliance with legal financial regulations and standards.
- Monitor and manage cash flow related to legal operations, including client payments and disbursements.
- Qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and employee information
- Detail-focused within all elements of financial record-keeping and data entry to ensure accuracy.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Finance Officer or Bookkeeper preferred, newly graduated considered.
- Understanding of financial management in a legal context is desirable
