Job Description The company
An award-winning builder is looking for a Finance Manager with a background in Construction to join their close-knit team.
Based in Sydney, this company as an excellent reputation in their industry of luxury residential construction with long term clients and growth year after year.
This Full time / long term position will suit someone with previous exposure in the construction industry, knowledge of using Databuild would be ideal.
The role
This hands-on role will require someone that is a hardworking individual who can thrive in a small team with a positive attitude to work against deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly & Annual financial reporting
- Cashflow forecasting
- Consolidated management accounts
- Project reporting
- Annual QBCC financial reporting & monitoring of financial ratios monthly
- Annual Income Tax return preparation for the group companies
- Key user for financial & project management system – Databuild
- Management of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll
- Asset Purchase
- Liaise with financiers to obtain asset finance
- Reporting on financial liabilities
- Recording of interest on liabilities
- Bank Covenant reporting
- Update PPSR
- Preparation & lodgement of BAS, FBT, other reporting to ATO
- Construction Industry experience with previous and recent exposure working in a similar environment is a must
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting
- Private entity / company tax experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to engage effectively with internal / external stakeholders
- Exposure of managing Accounts payable, Accounts receivable and payroll teams
- Ability to embrace working in a close-knit team and a passion for the
- Construction industry
- Be a confident operator to make Financial improvements for the business
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of self-motivation
