Your new company
This supportive finance team is looking for a proactive and adaptable Finance Officer to join them on a 12-month contract, to cover parental leave. This is a unique opportunity to work in this shared role, in a part-time capacity 3 Days a week (Monday to Wednesday).
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including payable, receivables, BAS, reconciliations etc.
- Month-end and year-end processes, including assisting with preparation of year-end financials
- Experience with project accounting and managing the financials for the lifecycle of their projects
- Completion of bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Cash flow reporting
- Assist in the monthly preparation of billings schedules, invoices and remittances
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting where required
- Provide key stakeholders with information required for operational decision-making including analysis, forecasting and modelling of any proposed business opportunities
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in broad-based Accounting roles
- High proficiency in MS Office suite – Intermediate - advanced Excel with prior experience with ERP systems
- Strong team player, willing to lend a hand across the team when required
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and clear communication skills, in-person and online, via email, combined with effective listening skills which are critical to the role
- Superb organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple briefs and perform under pressure
