About the role
As our Finance Officer (Receivables & Rates) you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of the accounts receivable function. Excellent customer service will be key whilst providing prompt and accurate information to customers, as well as liaising with Council’s debt management officer and external recovery agency when recovering overdue amounts. You will ensure tax invoices are created and issued to debtors in a timely manner, that all sundry debtors accounts are maintained, and that the sundry debtor ledger is reconciled and statements issued on a monthly basis.
This role also assists with the maintenance of Council’s rates ledger as well as processing rating certificates, updating rating information and ensuring that rate accounts are accurately maintained. About you
To be successful in this role, you will hold a Certificate III in Financial Services or Business Administration or the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience. You will have experience in accounts receivable with the ability to effectively manage your time. You will maintain a high level of attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in a high-volume, processing environment.
Most importantly, you will be a customer service superstar with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, who is able to manage complex queries whilst keeping a positive customer experience at the forefront of your mind. BenefitsThis is a permanent full-time role with a base salary ranging $62,780 - $69,686 based on demonstrated competencies 11% p.a. super.
