We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to join the Cooper Group head office team. Our head office team is responsible for supporting our service centre network and managing the group financial responsibilities and compliance obligations.
Responsibilities
Reporting to and working closely with our Management Accountant, you will assist with the preparation and delivery of financial tasks, in support of the overall finance function of the group. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing scheduled monthly finance tasks
- Reconciliations/payables/receivables and general ledger control
- Assist with compliance and financial obligations
- Prepare branch and consolidated group reporting
- Analysing of financial data
- Maintain relevant financial registers
- Assisting in the control of group assets
Skills and Experience
To be successful in the role, the applicant will possess the following skills:
- Qualifications in Accounting, Business, or similar
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role
- Ability to work in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be committed, self-motivated and highly organised
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Outlook
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Experience using multiple finance systems including MYOB
