A bit about the role
You will work with a dedicated team of finance professionals located in offices across Australia to ensure BNK’s financial data, inputs, system applications and outcomes are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
What you will bring
- Degree in Accounting or Finance with current CA/CPA registration
- Minimum 3 years’ finance experience;
- Self-starter attitude and ability to investigate outcomes;
- Experience working with Power BI datasets to deliver required reporting outcomes;
- Functional Excel skills;
- Strong communication skills across stakeholders, colleagues and external parties
- Banking/Financial Services experience (not a prerequisite but will be beneficial)
- Experience with Tech One highly regarded
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all standard accounting procedures to deliver accurate BNK monthly Management reports within published timeframes ensuring unexpected variances are fully investigated and analysed.
- Responsibility for and completion of APRA regulatory reporting obligations for BNK.
- Ensure all suspense accounts are cleared weekly and any outstanding balances investigated and resolved prior to End of month.
- Support Trust Accountant for transactional, reporting and Balance Sheet reconciliation each month.
- Completion of ATO statutory returns appropriate for an ADI (Approved Deposit Institution) (AIIR/QTFN); and
- Monitor and account for externally placed treasury returns and monthly recognition of investment income / expense based upon executed and active instruments.
