The finance team work incredibly hard to achieve their targets, but also are still able to find time to have breakfast together a few times a week and can be heard from down the corridors greeting fellow colleagues as they enter our vibrant offices.
We currently have a great opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join the Qudos Bank Finance team. You will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for processing and reporting financial information whilst maintaining internal control throughout this procedure.
Key duties and responsibilities of this role include:
Preparing daily Treasury reconciliations and journals.
Record and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial transactions in the general ledger.
Balance Sheet monthly reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
Preparing ratio & statistical information.
Assisting in the preparation of all monthly Board reports and other Management reports.
Support the preparation of budget and forecasts in accordance with the budget timetable.
Assisting in the preparation of the annual financial report .
Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and information.
Accounting for the Qudos Bank securitisation portfolio including settlement instructions accruals and regulatory reporting.
Opportunity to assist manager on strategic project work.
Preparing all Regulatory Tax Reporting.
Preparing Statutory reports for Regulator (APRA) on a monthly and quarterly basis.
The ideal candidate
We would love to hear from candidates who are well versed in the world of Financial Accounting who are Tertiary qualified with an Accounting or Finance or similar degree.
Someone who has had proven experience in regulatory reporting (Prudential Standards) or other regulatory bodies statutory reports, ideally you may have had exposure to APRA reporting. Being a well-versed Financial Accountant, you will be an excel guru and you may have knowledge using the system Tech One (Account Software).
