Financial Accountant

Our Sydney office (currently in Market St, and locating to Martin Place) is home to our Sales, Shipping, Logistics, Legal and Finance teams. 

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and joining a small, agile team who are focused on results, this newly created role is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to be a true business partner in the delivery of finance and accounting service. With the increase in our export sales volume, we are looking for someone to help support our Sales, Logistics and Shipping teams to understand their financial drivers, delivering month end and P&L analysis as well as insight into OPEX and foreign exchange.

Your key responsibilities include: 

• Business partnering with Sales, Logistics and Shipping teams across all finance processes including P&L, variance analysis, end of month close and reporting and FX positions
• Designing, developing and implementing new reporting tools to support the business to better understand their costs
• Leading audit activities for our Sales/Logistics/Shipping team and our Monbeef production facility
• Assisting with banking
• Assisting in inventory price monitoring and maintenance 

About you:

• You hold a CPA / CA or are working towards this
• You have a solid accounting background and are comfortable with accounting principles and reporting
• You want to join a small, agile team and are able to manage multiple priorities
• You have a curious mindset and are interested in learning more about business processes 
• You love to business partner, build rapport and solve problems
• Ideally you've had experience working with Sales, Shipping, Logistics teams or within the FMCG industry (although not essential)
