Financial Accountant

KB Seafood Co is Australia's largest seafood company and one of the most awarded & successful food service operators. We provide over 30,000 tonnes of seafood annually to leading foodservice operators and major supermarkets.

We are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join the team in our Canning Vale office on Full-Time Basis. The role of Financial Accountant is primarily to support the Finance Manager in the delivery of high quality, efficient and accurate Financial Accounting and Reporting for KB Food Co. and its related entities.

Ideally, you come with prior experience working with FMCG or large and complex manufacturing environments as well as a strong fundamental knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting into the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the following:

• Preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet for review
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting - Preparing analysis and costings of overhead expenses for management.
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Facilitation of the year-end and audit process
• Helping drive continuous improvement in management reporting.
• Preparing and lodging BAS
• Processing general journal entries
• Maintaining fixed asset register
• Assist in reconciliation of Fringe Benefit Tax elements.
• Ad hoc tasks as required time to time by Management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary qualification in Accountancy
• CA / CPA Qualification
• 5+ Years of experience in a similar role within a large and complex organisation
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP system.
• Exhibit robust technical accounting knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of tax and accounting standards
• Experience in all around accounting role.
