The Opportunity

We have an amazing opportunity for a Financial Administrator to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role you will be responsible for undertaking a full range of financial administration functions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and manage sensitive information. Additionally, technical skills and knowledge of different financial software’s is valued. This is a part-time position (20 hours of work per week), reporting to the Finance Manager. 

Your primary responsibilities will include: 

  • Administration of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Entering bank transactions including credit and debit cards and client payment receipting.
  • Abtrac Data Entry and project setup.
  • Managing supporting documentation filing.
  • Work with finance team to identify and implement business process improvements.
  • Provide support to the Finance team members, including the Finance Manager and Head of Finance.

About you

You have a warm personality, flexible and adaptable style. You are approachable and friendly, with a positive attitude to build strong relationship with your team and colleagues. You possess the ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively. Overall, you can create a productive work environment in collaboration with your team members. 

Desired qualifications and experience 

  • A certificate or diploma in bookkeeping, administration, business or similar.
  • Knowledge of working with financial systems, including MYOB and ERPs.
  • Beginner level of excel skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and also being able to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrates an awareness of fundamental business principles.
  • High level written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing confidential and sensitive information.
