24/7 Fuels remains a Sutherland Shire based, onsite refuelling company servicing a diverse range of customers across the Sydney metro area. As we grow the business further, we are seeking a motivated, commercially astute Financial Controller to lead a small but high performing Finance team.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will act as an integral senior consultant on all financial aspects of the business. The role has been created to contribute to the increased visibility of Finance within the wider business, the development of multi –level external stakeholder relationships and to actively contribute to developing a robust strategic business model to ensure long term shareholder value.
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Business Management – strategic, tactical and operational.
- Finance and Business planning.
- Accounting, Reporting and Financial Administration
- Overarching management of our internal finance systems, processes and policy management.
- Financial compliance and audit preparation.
- Management of 2 direct reports – coaching and encouraging professional development.
The Person
You will be outcomes focussed with experience of working in a fast-paced, changing environment. This role would suit a candidate who has experience within small businesses or start ups. You will have a can-do attitude, a level head and open to change.
You will also bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Finance combined with 5 or more years’ experience within financial accounting. Full membership of a professional body (CA, CPA, NIA).
- Experience of reporting in a computerised accounting environment with a detailed understanding of financial systems’ structure, methods and outputs.A sound knowledge of internal control procedures relating to finance, costing and budgetary control combined with advanced analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply Australian Accounting Standards and applicable Australian taxation legislation.
- Demonstrated team management and team improvement capability.
- Experience with Microsoft Navision system.
