You will be an experienced Financial Controller with strong commercial experience who will play a pivotal role in advancing the offering of the finance team in what will be an exciting phase of this business life cycle.
About the Role
As the Group Financial Controller, you will be an integral member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management and reporting. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive financial strategy and support growth initiatives, particularly through acquisitions. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, private equity partners, and operational teams to ensure financial integrity, compliance, and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support strategic growth objectives and acquisitions.
- Manage financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance standards.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and mitigate risk.
- Drive continuous process improvements in financial operations, systems, and reporting to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate potential acquisition targets, perform financial due diligence, and integrate acquired businesses.
- Support investor relations activities, including preparation of materials and presentations for private equity partners and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing roles, with a track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in private equity-backed businesses or M&A transactions highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence key stakeholders.
