Financial Controller - Real Estate & Property

Are you an experienced financial professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for Real Estate? We are currently seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join a dynamic team at a leading Real Estate office located in Bowen Hills.
As a Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the office, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across various functions. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong background in accounts, trust account management, payroll, accounts receivable, and HR, we want to hear from you!
Remuneration:
The remuneration for this position is up to $150,000 plus superannuation per annum, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience. 
Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial aspects of the Real Estate office, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and legal regulations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations
• Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG and superannuation payments
• Maintain and reconcile trust accounts, ensuring compliance with trust account regulations and legislation
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets, providing accurate and timely financial information to management
• Process payroll, ensuring accurate calculations, deductions, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Collaborate with HR department on various HR functions, such as recruitment, employee onboarding, and benefits administration
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and address any financial queries or issues

Qualifications and Skills:

• CPA or CA certification essential
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within the Real Estate industry
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and relevant legislation
• Work stability across previous work history
• Experience in MYOB, CRM's, ATO portals
• Experience with trust accounting and property management software is preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Exceptional organisational and time management abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
