About the opportunity:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the core responsibilities of the Financial Controller will be to provide strong finance functional leadership, actively contribute to the development and execution of business strategy, and partner with business executives to deliver the growth ambitions. With an ultimate emphasis on enhancing shareholder value the Financial Controller will provide the financial leadership needed to plan and grow the company efficiently,
including developing budgets and providing accurate ongoing projections in support of the business strategy.
- Working as key member of the leadership team providing support to the CEO and Board relating to financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, business performance, risk, technology and other key strategic
and operational matters - Ensure financial and business practices are compliant and operating effectively and efficiently, including management of outsourced accounting team
- Managing external financial reporting obligations (bank, lender, investor, insurance broker, etc)
- Guiding the month end close, including ensuring the integrity of group results and provision of performance insights for management and board reporting
- Management of Group tax obligations including coordination of external advisors
- Managing in house and external legal requirements
- Management of Company Secretarial function
- Coordination of Research and Development Grant application process
- Management and oversight of regulatory obligations
- Demonstrate a passion for improvements in system and processes and drive these initiatives
The ideal person:
To be successful in this role you will have a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent) and a demonstrated track record in an organization with growth across international markets.
A flexible, proactive and self-starter attitude will be essential in combination with resilience and credibility. You will have good leadership skills with the ability to support operations and partner with the CEO and Board in a trusted
advisor capacity. Along with the ability to work to deadlines, you will be proactive with a passion for driving best practice and enjoy streamlining processes.
You may have had some experience in a public company, perhaps in a small SaaS business but your core accounting, audit and management support skills are a key requirement. You are keen to develop your career in a growing, dynamic, innovative and professionally operated business.
