About the role:
This position of Financial Services Business Partner is a maternity leave cover of up to 12 months and will report to the Senior Management Accountant. You will join a proactive, collaborative and hardworking team who welcome new ideas for continuous improvements. You will support key stakeholders within the organisation to build financial acumen and review business processes. You will manage changes to system configurations as well as testing of enhancements and new software releases. You will design and develop data models and management reports using tools including ETL and XLOne that will enable analysis and monitoring of financial performance as well as assist planning. You will develop and deliver training programs for new and existing users in the financial systems.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive job-related experience.
- Knowledge and experience in applying accounting procedures and legislation, particularly the Local Government Code of Accounting Practice and Australian Accounting Standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing excellent customer service and a highly developed understanding of customer service principles.
- Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly a demonstrated ability in advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret data and model scenarios.
- Knowledge of issues affecting local government and participation in established industry networks.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to work as an effective and cooperative team member.
