Here is your opportunity to join a successful Engineering Equipment specialist in the Sydenham area as a Technician.

We are looking for a trade-qualified Fitter Machinist or Mechanical Engineer or Grad who wants to use their trade / hands-on skills and learn extra skills to become an industry-specific skilled technician.

• This new position will involve various duties. In this position, you will be trained to Inspect, repair, and manufacture equipment used in a specialised industry.

• This will involve having the ability to disassemble, overhaul, repair and reassemble mechanical components and equipment.

• You will need to read and interpret technical drawings. Plus have an understanding of Metric and Imperial measurements.

• You will need to be able to operate manual machines such as lathes or mills to manufacture repair components. And at times you may have to fabricate and weld.

• Fundamentally you ,will be trained to inspect, repair, and or manufacture components for specialised equipment.

• To start with you ,will be working side by side with an experienced tradesperson learning the job. Once passed all the skills you will be given a car and a phone plus tools and will be out visiting clients.

TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• Trade or Engineering qualifications
• Mechanical Engineer Grad may also apply
• Hands-on skills in Mechanical equipment
• Skills on Manual / Conventional machining
• High mechanical aptitude
• A mechanical problem solver
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
