Join our team as the Food & Beverage Assurance Manager at The Star Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.
The Food and Beverage Assurance Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all statutory, regulatory organisational policies and processes. There will be a close focus on the procedures of our internal control manuals and the compliance and assurance of these, across the Hospitality portfolio that encompass Restaurants, Bars, Special Events and Nightclubs.
This role will be responsible in validating compliance with all agreed processes, standard operating procedures, and rules. The role will also see you examining, critiquing and improving workflow efficiencies and frameworks, as well as providing business leads assurance that these are being adhered to.

A few of your responsibilities
- Lead, review and monitor all regulatory requirements for Hospitality venues and Special Events to ensure correct processes are in place and meet compliance.
- Consolidate and align cross departmental operating procedures and business practices to improve operational accountability and consistency.
- Work with business and stakeholders to identify high risk operational practices and ensure adequate controls are documented.
- Monitor and investigate breaches and business errors (with department leads) and determine root cause then provide recommendations to resolve.
- Continually review processes and procedures around all operational areas to ensure the most effective and efficient workflow possible.
What we are looking for
- 5 years’ experience working within the Hospitality industry with specific experience in leading projects, administration, and compliance
- Exceptional understanding of Hospitality business processes
- Experienced in stakeholder management with the ability to influence cross-departmental stakeholders
- Strong understanding of RSA policy, practices and compliance

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with previous experience in the Hospitality industry, demonstrating expertise in project leadership, administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of Hospitality business processes and excel in stakeholder management across various organizational levels, exhibiting a persuasive influence on cross-departmental collaboration.
Proficiency in RSA policy, alongside impeccable written and verbal communication skills, is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and a commitment to integrity are paramount in this role. You will bring a proactive mindset, coupled with flexibility.

About us
The $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium – a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.
