- Lead the Events operations team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel and ensuring processes are in place to develop staff.
- Hands-on management of the day to day floor operations of the Food and Beverage department.
- Whilst the role is priarily focused towards event operations, the role includes operational assistance and management across all Food and Beverage outlets.
- Drive a positive and supportive team culture.
- Quality control of front of house delivery and F&B logistics, including maintaining and managing inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure budget and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Establish and set targets, KPI's, schedules, policies and procedures.
- Ensure high levels of food safety compliance are in accordance with statutory requirements
- Ensure a seamless customer centric service is provided for each and every event.
- Support and guide the Conference & Events operations team to ensure a successful and effective operation
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure a successful experience for the client
- Handle guest requests, inquiries and complaints effectively and efficiently.
- Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining the standards of food, beverage and meeting specifications.
- Work closely with all key Hotel operational departments to ensure service execution whilst groups and functions/events are in house and in turn ensuring consistent clients satisfaction.
- Ensure safe working environment is maintained at all times.
- Assistance to the Director of Food and Beverage on curation of Food and Beverage packages, system efficiency and overall Food and Beverage Strategy.
- Ensure all required industry and company protocols are being followed.
- Conduct Daily Meetings with staff.
- Manage procurement for the venue ensuring cost of food and beverage consumption does not exceed the established target.
- Manage all maintenance protocols (preventive and repairs).
- Keep prices updated in all venue platforms to ensure an optimal cost of sale across the menu sales mix.
- Always ensure cleanliness of the venue and compliance with required industry and company protocols.
- Manage the venue’s software’s, Processing Invoices , Complete all reports and analysis requested.
- Management of contractors and supplier relationships and contract deliverables
- Ensuring security is effective & ensure the Property follows all brand guidelines.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train and manage front of house staff
- Minimum 3 years experience in managing food and beverage outlets in a fast-paced environment
- A go-getter attitude, and the ability to think on your feet
- Solid business acumen and a drive for results
- Administrative skills for effective management and achievement of financial targets, including rostering, compliance and COGS/stock.
