POSITION VACANT – FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER

An experienced Front of House Manager is required at the newly established Boonyee Rushgin Training Café at TYTO.

The Role

In conjunction with internationally trained Manager Chef Jim Talladira, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of Boonyee Rushgin Training Cafe.

This is a hands-on role that will require a positive attitude, strong service background, excellent time management skills, attention to detail and understanding of the hospitality industry.

Experience in training / education will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and leading a strong, cohesive team.

• Overseeing floor service to ensure high standards are consistently maintained, while keeping calm and composed.

• Coordinating service and production between the kitchen, floor and bar

• Overseeing functions and events

• Managing the full life cycle of each team member – recruitment, rostering, appraisal, development, coaching and mentoring.

• Managing cost, budgets, labour costs, wastage and stock control for the restaurants

• Compliance with all statutory, OLGR, WH&S standards, procedures, and processes, in addition to Boonyee Rushgin’s procedures and policies.

What you bring to the team

• Responsible Service of Alcohol

• Food Handlers Certificate

• At least two years’ experience working in a similar position

• Experience as a barista and food & beverage attendant

• Adaptable and able to perform in high-pressured service periods.

• High level attention to detail with exceptional organisation skill & ability to work under pressure, whilst providing positive support & leadership to the team.

• Support a dynamic, inclusive & engaging workplace culture.

• Identify and provide opportunities for professional development of team

• Demonstrated high level of staff management, communication and leadership.

• Experienced with opening & closing venues.

• Must possess a genuine passion for the industry.

• Strong knowledge of food and wine pairings advantageous

• Superior liquor, cocktail knowledge and wine knowledge would be advantageous.

• Impeccable presentation, hygiene and grooming standards

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
