If you find you're the type of person/practitioner that exhibits a caring & respectful patient and staff interaction with the ability to confidently incorporate genuine MSK/bio-psychosocial approaches to patient care (where appropriate) then you would fit well with-in our team. The position will especially suit somebody who is confident to take on a patient load independently, but who is also able to ask for input when needed, and remains inspired by ongoing learning.
In a nutshell, we are a rural physio practice operating out of 3 locations. We have 2 MSK physio's, and consulting neurological physio and orthotist/prosthetist and a part time dietitian with amazing admin staff. We are very passionate about assisting our local community in bettering their health and injury outcomes and also pride ourselves on providing a work environment that is very pro-active on assisting you to become the type of practitioner you want to be. We understand that we all come from different walks of life, so whether you are very profession focused or would like a bit more of a work/life balance we will be there to assist that goal in any way that we can. We are not big on micromanaging but we certainly are there to assist and bounce ideas off at a heart beat and don't push our staff hard on KPI's or meeting budget "requirements".
The position is full time (although a part-time position could be negotiated for the right candidate), offering a commission based salary of approx $75 -90k, depending how you choose to structure your work week. We work off a 60/30 min consult timetable with 2.5hrs allocated notes writing/wk . Our caseload is varied and diverse – Between physio and dietetics, we regularly provide services for sports injury management, treatment of work-related injuries, chronic pain management, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, NDIS and group exercise classes. There is plenty of opportunity to focus on areas of interest. Our director is an active member of the Sports Medicine Network for the Winter Olympic Institute of Australia and is regularly working and travelling with our Olympians, demonstrating that you don't need to live in high density areas to work with top tier athletes.
We are a client focused practice with well established ties to the local community, a strong focus on continuing education to ensure that your skills continue to grow/change in line with the literature. We provide funding and support for ongoing PD and conduct regular monthly in-services. There is scope to take on the role of managing the delivery of regular PD, with paid non-treatment time for prep of course. We are supported by an excellent Administration team.
Our practices are located in Moruya and Narooma. We are about halfway between Sydney and Melbourne and only 2 ½ hours from Canberra – right on some of the countries most beautiful beaches, and not far from the snow! The Far South Coast region is growing rapidly and offers a wide range of recreational pursuits.
