Full-time Chef
Tosaria established since 2012 and is now operating as a modern Asian restaurant. We are seeking applications from experienced chefs who have the following attributes:
1. A minimum of 2 years experience in modern Asian cuisine – reflecting a blend of Asian and western cuisines
2. Significant experience in sourcing appropriate raw materials and ingredients in Melbourne
3. is able to demonstrate creativity – creating different modern Asian specials
4. Significant exposure to semi fine dining cooking and plating
5. has good English communication skills
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing dishes from our menu using our recipes and tailoring recipes to specific requirements from our customers.
- Ensuring the orders are fulfilled as per the order list.
- Monitoring and controlling the quality of our dishes before serving to our customers.
- Working with the other chefs/cooks and kitchen staff to prepare for set up before service.
- Managing freshness and quality of ingredients and controlling stocks using the FIFO method.
- Liaising with a procurement stakeholder to restock ingredients for the next shift.
- Ensuring all the areas in the kitchen are tidy, hygienic, and clean.
- Supervising and training new staff to be able to perform their tasks at the highest quality.
- Completing all records as required precisely and in timely manner.
