NV2 is required
- Assess the USG gateway design, work through known gaps, and deficiencies look for improvements and work with USG Project managers to priorities workloads, schedule tasking to engineering team, and ensuring ability to mobilise his team quickly to deliver required outcome whilst maintaining a high degree of flexibility;
Scope, review, assess, advise, amend (where required), Deliver Engineering outcomes;
Work with Gateway Operations Team to plan handover of tasking from remediation (plan, build) to Operations (Run);
Provide regular reporting to USG Project manager. Attend governance meetings;
- Assess and advise on appropriate engineering and technology solutions including hardware, software, firmware and vendors where relevant to a task;
Assess and advise on system architecture where relevant to a task, ensuring alignment with future Gateway Engineering team;
- Support change and configuration management, including the development and or maintenance of engineering artefacts and Service Records through extant DSCB processes;
Assess the suitability of the defect remediation activities in accordance with the CIOG Technical Assurance Framework (TAF);
Develop patterns for technical services IAW the CIOG TAF, in collaboration with the DSCB Chief Engineer;
- Manage the Engineering team to balance staff workload, leave and absences against operational requirements ensuring the ability to stay responsive to operational priorities; and
- Work and consult with DSCB chief Engineer as required to provide the capability uplifts required under USG.
