Role Overview:
Our profiling and paving business (Trading as Bitu-Mill) is seeking a future focused General Manager for our – Bitu-Mill business, reporting to our COO.
As the General Manager, you will play a central role in leading and developing the National Bitu-mill Profiling and Paving business into a premier service provider with a view on expanding our service offering. Embrace our unique value-add approach, focusing on long-term sustainability and profitability while ensuring projects are to the highest service standards with winning outcomes for Bild Group & our valued clients.
Although our head office is in Victoria, as a national business, we offer the flexibility to be based in either our QLD or NSW offices.
Responsibilities:
- Advocacy, represent and position Bitu-mill as an industry thought leader in infrastructure asphalt and road maintenance industry.
- Leadership: Inspire and guide all departments with strategic direction, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Project Management: Oversee project execution, prioritising quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
- Client Relations: Cultivate and sustain strong client relationships, understanding their needs to ensure satisfaction, while keeping a keen eye on market trends and opportunities.
- Growth: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, driving strategic decision-making for sustainable growth aligned with industry shifts.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing team, with a focus on strategic approaches to tendering requirements and submissions.
- Financial Management: Navigate budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to optimise project profitability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Uphold industry regulations and safety standards.
About You:
- Proven experience as a leader in the infrastructure and road maintenance industry is desirable.
- Strong project management skills with a successful track record.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to form and nurture strong relationships.

- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards is desirable.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
