Your Impact:
As the General Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, playing a pivotal role in leading the safety culture, enhancing performance, and promoting operational excellence. You will be a communicative and collaborative leader, contributing to a high-performing team and delivering exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Lead a behavioural based safety culture, fostering outstanding safety performance outcomes.
- Comprehensive Leadership: Develop capability in performance, customer satisfaction, stakeholder engagement, operational excellence, and people development.
- Customer Relationships: Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction with services.
- Contractor Management: Effectively manage contractor groups, aligning with the company's business model and promoting a collaborative working environment.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance to the Port Hedland management team and Contractor Representatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills, Attributes and Qualifications:
- Proven leadership with a commitment to proactive safety practices and reinforcing health and safety systems.
- Strong organisational skills, consistency, and discipline.
- Excellent verbal comprehension and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to lead, manage, and build teams with a consultative, collaborative, influencing, and assertive leadership approach.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and growing businesses and contracts.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Marine qualifications advantageous but not essential.
