Beau’s Pet Hotel is an established and significant revenue generator for Guide Dogs SA/NT. Located at Adelaide Airport, this world class facility provides the full range of services for dogs and cats including pet boarding, daycare and daystay, grooming and training. All profits generated at Beau’s help to support the life changing services provided by Guide Dogs SA/NT to South Australians and Northern Territorians.
The position of General Manager, Beau’s Pet Hotel provides a unique opportunity for an operations management professional to take the reins of this very special business. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of Guide Dogs SA/NT, and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the General Manager, Beau’s Pet Hotel is a key leadership role responsible for developing the strategic direction of Beau’s Pet Hotel and managing all aspects of business operations. Key areas of responsibility will include:
financial management including budgeting, forecasting and reporting;
leading, inspiring and mentoring team members to achieve their potential and support business growth;
promotion of Beau’s services within the community, refining offerings and strengthening the customer base;
developing and maintaining productive partnership relationships across a wide range of stakeholder groups.
The appointee will enjoy opportunities to innovate, drive operational efficiencies and implement growth strategies, while supported extensively by Guide Dogs SA/NT corporate services in the fulfilment of management responsibilities. A collaborative approach, a customer-centric and continuous improvement focus, excellent communication and relationship building skills and sound commercial acumen will be important for success in this role.
