Role:
As the NSW General Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the operational and strategic facets of the company's activities across three significant branches in NSW. This senior leadership role is a high visibility role that works closely with the Managing Director to achieve growth targets, thereby offering tangible, long-term opportunity for career progression within the business. This position demands a dynamic individual with robust managerial skills, deep industry knowledge, and a strategic outlook to propel growth, guarantee operational excellence, and cultivate a culture of collaboration and customer satisfaction throughout all branches.
Key Responsibilities:
 
Financial Performance:
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the NSW branches, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and financial targets.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and KPIs, implement cost-control measures, and optimize revenue-generating opportunities to achieve profitability goals.
  • Strive to achieve full absorption from a PNL standpoint, optimizing revenue streams and cost structures to achieve maximum profitability.
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the company's overall objectives to drive growth and profitability across the NSW branches.
  • Identify market trends, opportunities, and challenges to formulate effective business strategies and initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the branches.
Operational Management:
  • Oversee all operational activities within the NSW branches, including sales, service, parts, and administration, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and operational processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational performance and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Work towards achieving full absorption from a PNL standpoint, optimizing revenue streams and cost structures to maximize profitability.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to branch managers and their respective teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop talent within the branches to build a skilled and motivated workforce capable of achieving business objectives.
  • Promote a culture of employee engagement, empowerment, and accountability to drive individual and team success.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs, address concerns, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead customer engagement initiatives, including sales meetings, product presentations, and service reviews, to drive customer loyalty and retention.
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to identify opportunities for business expansion, market penetration, and customer acquisition.

Qualifications and Experiences:
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the industrial equipment or machinery industry (either currently or previously managing 1 or more branches); strong track record of driving business growth, operational and financial excellence.

  • Solid understanding of sales, finance, and operations management principles.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
