About The Role:
The Major Projects Directorate includes the Infrastructure Delivery Unit (IDU), which provides oversight of the State’s entire Asset Investment Program (AIP) and is responsible for providing strategic advice that supports effective delivery of major infrastructure projects.
This role leads the IDU and is responsible for driving the residential and non-residential building infrastructure program across government, shaping agency procurement, and sourcing strategies, and influencing government decision making with respect to individual projects and funding.
About You:
As a senior member of the Major Projects directorate, you will provide effective and visionary leadership by putting forward a clearly articulated strategic direction on the sequencing and interactions of projects in the AIP to both internal and external stakeholders to benefit the community.
To drive this dynamic and challenging role, you will be solutions-focussed and strategic leader able to influence government agency decision making with respect to individual projects and funding to enable delivery of positive outcomes for the people of Western Australia.
In this senior leadership position you are expected to have a high level of integrity, to exhibit a high level of resilience and self-awareness and act as a role model to your team and stakeholders. You will be able to deal with sensitive matters and have the drive to adapt to an organisation that has complex and demanding operations.

Currently there is one (1) full-time or part-time fixed term position available for filling for up to 5 years. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to appoint to this advertised vacancy, it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that may arise in the Agency within the next twenty-four (24) months on a full-time, part-time, fixed-term basis with the possibility of further extension(s).
